Sink your teeth in

Hello lovely readers! I can’t believe this is the penultimate issue for 2022.

The year has flown. I felt similarly when attending the Pharmacy Show last month – I couldn’t believe it had rolled around again so quickly. It was brilliant to get to speak to some of you there and I was delighted to see, for the very first time, the inclusion of the Pharmacy Technician Theatre. I attended some inspiring talks there and it made me so happy to see the development of such an inclusive space at the show. Long may it continue.

In this issue, we have a fascinating Public Eye piece on the aspirations for aspirin and its potential role in cancer prevention for you to sink your teeth into. We also have plenty of seasonal advice – from coughs and colds to overindulgence – to support your understanding of common winter conditions.

There is also a fantastic piece on older people’s health. I know that pharmacy teams play an integral role in the lives of the elderly people in their communities and really make a difference. Not that I need to, but I’d ask that this winter especially, you pay close attention to your older customers. I hope that this feature will inspire you in ways in which you can help support their health wholly and holistically.
